Intel’s New Raptor Lake-HX CPU Family To Feature The Core i9-13980HX Laptop CPU With 24 Cores & Up To 5.6 GHz Clock Speeds To Make It The World’s Most Powerful Mobile CPU.
Intel is set to unveil its newest line of laptop CPUs, the Raptor Lake-HX, at CES 2023. The lineup will include the Core i9-13980HX, which is currently the fastest laptop CPU on the market with 24 cores. This impressive processor features 8 P-Cores based on the Raptor Cove architecture and 16 E-Cores based on the Gracemont architecture, with a maximum turbo frequency of up to 5.6 GHz.
The Core i9-13980HX will be accompanied by the Core i9-13900HK, which boasts 14 cores, 24 MB of L3 cache, and a clock speed of up to 5.4 GHz. Both of these high-end CPUs will be paired with flagship designs and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 40 series graphics options. It’s worth noting that these processors will require advanced cooling techniques to handle their powerful specifications and are expected to run a bit hot.
The Raptor Lake-HX lineup will be competing against AMD’s Dragon Range Laptop CPU lineup, which also includes CPUs with up to 16 cores and 32 threads. Overall, it looks like Intel is pushing the limits with its Raptor Lake-HX lineup, offering impressive performance for power users and gamers.
