Are you excited for Apple’s upcoming OLED displays? The tech giant is said to be planning to roll out OLED panels for the iPad Pro and MacBook Air lineups by 2024, according to reports. Apple recently released the M2 iPad Pro with a mini-LED display, which was a huge success. OLED technology promises even better displays, with deeper blacks and enhanced dimming zones.
Furthermore, the new OLED panels are said to be using “tandem stack” technology, which could increase the OLED panel’s life, reduce power consumption by 30%, and increase the brightness of the display. Plus, variable refresh rates will be implemented for an even more efficient experience. These OLED panels are expected to be available for both 11-inch and 12.9-inch iPad Pro models.
Apple is producing prototypes with the help of Korean display partners Samsung and LG Display. By utilizing a dry etching process and a special coating, Apple is aiming to make the OLED iPad incredibly lightweight and incredibly durable. Furthermore, the display is said to have unrivaled image quality. What do you think about this new display technology? Let us know in the comments below!
