ASUS ROG Plans To Release 18inch Gaming Laptop. Takes On Razer & Alienware.

ASUS has just revealed that they are working on a brand new 18-inch ROG gaming laptop to compete with Alienware and Razer. The laptop, known as the ROG “Big guy,” is set to be officially unveiled at next year’s CES 2023 Launch event on January 3, 2023.

In a video posted on the Weibo account “Lonely City-Hardware,” the laptop can be seen showcasing edge RGB lighting and a colorful and clear display. While not much is known about the specs of the laptop, it is speculated that it will feature the Intel 13th Gen Core Raptor Lake HX processor and the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 40 series mobile chip.

This announcement follows both Alienware and Razer’s hints at their own 18-inch gaming laptops. Alienware previously offered 18-inch gaming laptops in the previous decade, including the M18X, M18X R2, and M18X R3. Razer’s next-gen Blade 18 laptop has also recently leaked.

2023 could be the year for larger and higher-performing laptops for gamers and enthusiasts that rival a full-decked PC system. Stay tuned for more information on these next-gen laptops by CES 2023.
