3. Reduce Animations
Windows animations can reduce performance as well. For Example the minimizing of programs, you can reduce the “pretty” minimizing effect of windows where it shrinks and minimize to the taskbar. Disabling that feature will make it minimize instantly.
To disable animations, press Windows Key + X or right-click the Start button and select “System.” Click “Advanced System Settings” on the left and click the “Settings” button under Performance. Choose “Adjust for best performance” under Visual Effects to disable all the animations, or select “Custom” and disable the individual animations you don’t want to see.
4. Remove Malware and Adware
This is a must, not only to speed up your computer but also to protect your personal information. A great free software to use is Malwarebytes. It will remove all the maleware, adware and “potentially unwanted programs”
