1. Steamdeck Overview
As you all know we have been talking about the Steamdeck for a while now, and some reviews have be released, we will just talk about some of the key features and how people have experienced it. First thing is first, what are you to expect from the 40Whr battery, well it all depends on which game you are going to play and at what screen brightness, we have seen some reviews state that they get anything from about 45 minutes to 6 hours depending on the game, frames and screen brightness. The game performance doesn’t seem to be too bad either, Control on the native resolution got around 36 FPS, Ghostrunner got 40 FPS with RT on and 60 with it off, Forza Horizon 5 from 40 to 60 depending on graphic settings. The screen brightness seems to be more than sufficient as well. So pretty decent, but that does come without a price, as a lot of guys say that it is quite heavy for long gaming sessions, the fan noise is apparently also quite bad but it doesn’t overheat which is great. So it seems the Steamdeck is actually quite a good little machine, wish I could get my hands on one.

2. RTX 40 Series GPUs can use over 800W
Thinking of getting one of the rumored 40 Series GPUs that’s apparently coming at the end of September? Well get ready to upgrade your PSUs. These cards are set to consume over 450W and some rumors suggest we might even see an 800W TDP for the 4090. These GPUs are said to use the AD102 GPU and apparently, previous rumors suggest, the AD102 might feature as many as 18432 CUDA cores, but such a configuration might not be immediately available for consumers GPUs if they are even being planned at all.
3. NVIDIA Hacked the hackers
The hackers got hacked!! A group called LAPUS apparently hacked NVIDIA and stole over 1TB worth of Data, some of it containing employees’ email addresses. Well apparently NVIDIA hacked them back and ransomed the hackers, unfortunately, the hacker group made a backup of the stolen data. This also explains why NVIDIAs emails have been unresponsive in the last few days. These hackers are a bit delusional though, stating that NVIDIA is the criminals for hacking them with ransomware.
4. a Keyboard Mac?
So Apple might take us back into the past. So they have filed a patent to build a MAC into a keyboard. Now Apple files a lot of patents and it’s not necessarily that we would ever see the product, but it does give an idea of what they might plan for future products. This is a very cool idea for someone that works in different locations, maybe from home, and then just picking up your keyboard MAC and taking it to the office. This will require an external screen though but it is still a very cool concept. Its something that was actually implemented in the 80s already with the Commodore 64 and the Sinclair ZX Spectrum.

5. Intel, AMD stop sending chips to Russia
So we all know what’s going on in Ukraine at the moment, well Intel and AMD have reportedly suspended chip shipments to Russia. Intel has also told their branch in China to halt all shipments to Russia. This goes in line with sanctions drawn up against Russia for the attack on Ukraine. I personally don’t know what type of impact something like this will have on Russia or the consumer market there. Also, since TSMC also uses U.S.-origin equipment to manufacture semiconductors, TSMC might also stop shipments to Russia

6. Gen Z is “WEAK”!
So the Pentagon has stated that GEN Z or the “Nintendo Generation” is too weak to join the military. a clinical coordinator and chief of the medical readiness service line stated that “The “Nintendo Generation” soldier skeleton is not toughened by activity prior to arrival, so some of them break more easily” she also said that “We see injuries ranging from acute fractures and falls, to tears in the ACL, to muscle strains and stress fractures, with the overwhelming majority of injuries related to overuse. These occur mostly in the lower extremities. Statistically, females tend to have a higher incidence of injury than their male counterparts”. This is apparently due to the fact that Gen Z spends too much time “on the couch”. LOL
7. GamePass on Steam?
So one thing the Steamdeck doesn’t have right now is Microsoft’s game pass. That’s because it doesn’t run on windows. But that might change sometime in the far future. Gabe Newell, the valve founder said in one of his interviews on the Steamdeck, that Game Pass could come to the Steam platform if Microsoft wanted. Valve isn’t planning on creating their own subscription-based plan on steam, but something like Game pass would be great on Steam, as Microsofts launcher on PC really sucks for games.

8. Alder Lake HX 16 Core Mobile CPU
Intel is bringing the muscle to laptops it seems, as the new Alder Lake HX range CPUs are rumored to have 16 cores. This will consist of 8 Performance, and 8 Efficient cores, which will put them head to head with the 6000 series CPUs from AMD. The HX range will have a TDP of between 45-55W and will only consist of one SKU.
9. Super Hero Elon Musk
Elon Musk to the rescue! Ukraine has thanked Elon for enabling Starlink in Ukraine as their internet has been cut off by the Russians. Elon Musk enable Starlink for Ukraine after Ukraine Vice Prime Minister said: “while you try to colonize Mars – Russia try to occupy Ukraine! While your rockets successfully land from space – Russian rockets attack Ukrainian civil people! We ask you to provide Ukraine with Starlink stations and to address sane Russians to stand”. No arguing that what’s happening in Ukraine is horrible, at least the technology from Starlink is able to help them in some way.
10. Biostar Selling out to Miners
As if we haven’t suffered enough with miners stealing all our Gaming joy with their greed, now BIOSTAR has fallen for the same greed. BIOSTAR has been advertising a complete mining rig lined up with 8 RX580’s this while also saying they can guarantee availability in large quantities. Now we all know that AMD and NVIDIA have been “trying” to get GPUs to gamers instead of miners, but realistically it doesn’t make sense as miners buy way more GPUs in one shot than we gamers ever do. So business-wise it just makes sense to make money that way. Although this is horrible, at least its only 580’s and not 6000 series GPUs or 30 series RTX cards.
