In case the item is not available in these countries I will add a similar alternative. However, the US option should be able to ship to the majority of countries.
Say hello to the Royal Kludge RK G68, a 65% Bluetooth and wireless RGB keyboard with a USB hub.
Pricing & Design
Starting with the price the G68 is retailing for $66 on amazon which I think is a steal for everything you get. There is also the previous RK68 & RK61 non-RGB option which is a bit cheaper but also only comes in black or white color schemes.
However, for the RGB version, there are different color options, Classic Red, which is more white and then Dolch, the one we have here which is more black and grey. You also get blue, brown or red switch options, but more on that later.

Moving on to the design, the PBT plastic shell feels very sturdy with zero flex and actually has some heft to it which not only makes it feel more premium but also prevents it from moving around while gaming or typing. At the front not only do you get the detachable Type C port but also 2x USB 2 Type-A ports. This allows you to connect 2 additional peripherals like a mouse and headphones to it which I found really handy. However, this only works while the keyboard is in wired mode and not wireless, which would have been game-changing for me. But still, it works well with my wireless mouse and headset. Having a 65% layout makes it also slightly more practical for me with the extra row of keys. It allows for dedicated arrow keys and a few others that don’t need to be used with a second function. Works very nicely for me.

As for underneath the keyboard you do not get any flip-out feet so only a fixed elevation. But the rubber grips in the corners again do a good job. Also underneath you get the 2.4Ghz wireless USB receiver, the on and off switch and then the wireless or Bluetooth switch. Just use the manual if you are wondering how the connections work as it is quite simple to understand with the guides.
Switches
The switches are gaterons but they are also hot-swappable with other 3 or 5 pin switches to fit your feel. I went with the browns and they are perfectly fine for me with the tactile feel but also not being too loud. I didn’t experience any loud jump backs or issues teat you sometimes get on cheaper keyboards so I’m very happy about that. Typing this script and gaming have been very pleasant. (100% NKRO)

Keycaps
For the keycaps, I very much like the mix in colors with the letters and numbers having the grey keycaps. While the others are black and then space, Esc and the arrows are red. But all so the Red keycaps are more transparent where they light up and give a nice extra effect which I found different and cool. As for the keycaps they are double shot PBT and have a good feel to them, as well as being oil resistant so no oily fingerprints like we see on so many other keycaps.

RGB
RGB isn’t always very smart for a wireless keyboard, but I’m not that smart sometimes. So the G68 is per key backlight with 20 preset effects and 8 colors for each. All of which you control on the keyboard with FN functions printed on the sides of the keycaps. You also have your standard controls like speed and 5 levels of brightness. For those interested, you do have a white color but like most RGB keyboards it has a more blueish tint to it
If you have an idea of a product you would like me to feature either in a video or comparison. Then tag me and the brand in a tweet with that you want and I will try to get it arranged.
Wireless & Battery
Moving to the battery and wireless. I didn’t time how long the battery lasted but it’s stated that it can last up to 48hours on a static color. That sounds about right as with the RGB on it actually stayed on for a couple of days of average use. Not bad actually. (Battery size, 3150mAh – charging, FN flashes when low, space flashes when starting to charge)
For the wireless options, the 2.4Ghz felt quite low in latency and had no issues playing a couple of shooters. The range was also not bad reaching across the room, but needed line of sight and did occasionally miss type then. For Bluetooth, you can connect up to 3 devices at the same time so technically you have 5 devices you connect the keyboard to and quite easily switch between all of them.

Outro
Rapping up the G68, I would recommend a palm rest as I found like some others the elevation is quite high for me personally. I prefer lower to the ground typing as it’s easier on my wrists. But again everything is personal preference.
Then finally you are able to download the software from their website but it didn’t want to detect this keyboard. It did however detect a different one.
So that’s it for my look at the Royal Kludge RK G68. Now is it worth getting? Well for $66 I defiantly think so, the different connection types are a massive plus for me as well as the RGB, again not for everybody. The downside for me was mostly the elevation. Seeing as I type a lot I would need a palm rest, but luckily there is plenty of options.

Is It Worth It?
The G68 is not perfect but for the price point, it’s hard not to recommend if you like small compact keyboards.
