Samsung Releases Dragon Knight G7 32-inch, 4K 144 Hz Gaming Monitor

Samsung has just announced the release of a new gaming monitor, the Dragon Knight G7, in China. This exclusive monitor looks a lot like Samsung’s Odyssey series, leading us to believe that it may be a preview of what’s to come in the future for the Odyssey line.

The Dragon Knight G7 features a 32-inch IPS panel with UHD/4K resolution, a 95% DCI-P3 colour space coverage, 1 ms response times, a 144 Hz refresh rate, and VESA DisplayHDR 400 certification for at least 400 nits of peak brightness. It also supports AMD FreeSync Premium Pro and NVIDIA G-SYNC to minimise image tearing when used with AMD or NVIDIA graphics cards.

In addition to its impressive display capabilities, the Dragon Knight G7 also has an adjustable stand and offers video-out options through DisplayPort 1.4 and HDMI 2.1. It runs on Tizen OS and is currently being sold in China for CNY 4,999 (approximately $717). There is no word on a global release yet, but with the CES 2023 conference coming up next month, it’s possible that we may see the Dragon Knight G7 (or a similar version) under the Odyssey branding.
