Tecno claims to have beaten OPPO and Huawei to the release of the first-gen retractable-lens smartphone with the Phantom X2 Pro. The company boasts that the rear-mounted shooter has a telescopic module for portrait shots and the widest aperture (f/1.49) among mobile portrait lenses. While Tecno does not specify the sensor used, its specs match those of the Samsung ISOCELL GN1.
The X2 Pro also features a “3.5D Lunar Crater” glass rear panel and three additional cameras, including a 50MP camera. It has a 6.8-inch 120Hz curved AMOLED display powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9000 SoC and comes with 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM, 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage, and a 5,160mAh battery with 45W charging. Fashion photographer Rankin has been enlisted to promote the X2 Pro and its capabilities. There is no information on when or if the X2 Pro will be released.
