Wireless Battery Powered 55″ 4K OLED TV Ready For CES

No one likes cables, but is a wireless 4K OLED TV really needed?

Displace, a startup, has announced an ambitious new 4K OLED TV that has the potential to shake up the industry. The Displace TV boasts a 55-inch 4K OLED panel and is said to be powered by four proprietary batteries that can last up to 180 hours between charges, or around a month when used for 6 hours a day. This is an impressive feat, as it would require the TV to pack approximately 15 kWh worth of batteries in order to achieve the same level of power efficiency as other OLED Smart TVs.

In addition to its impressive battery life, the Displace TV also boasts some innovative design features. It is said to weigh only 9 kg, despite its large size, and can be mounted on a wall using “active-loop vacuum technology” without the need for traditional wall mounting. It can even be grouped with three other Displace TVs to create a massive 110-inch display. The TV also incorporates gesture, voice, and touch controls, eliminating the need for a traditional remote.

Despite these impressive features, it’s worth noting that the Displace TV has not yet been released and is set to debut at CES 2023 on January 3. It remains to be seen whether the device will ever make it to market, but it certainly sounds like an exciting product with the potential to revolutionize the way we consume media.
